Reliable, real-time data, like those highlighted in this dashboard, allow us to better understand the prevalence and characteristics of homelessness in New Brunswick – and to know when strategies to reduce it are working. By tracking these indicators, we can measure our progress to achieving Functional Zero: ensuring that when homelessness occurs it is rare, brief, and non-recurring. *This dashboard is compiled with data from both the Homelessness Individual and Family Information System (HIFIS) and the By Names List(BNL), which is a real-time list of all people known to be experiencing homelessness in the community.
