Quality community-level data is vital for individuals and organizations seeking to improve their community. Politicians, governments, non-profit organizations, research groups, and individuals seeking to be better informed all need reliable data to make informed decisions. The New Brunswick (NB) Data Portal is a location where people can access an array of local New Brunswick data on demographics and social issues. The NB Data Portal is ever-evolving. Stay plugged into our social media for updates. There are currently eight dashboards:
Saint John, Moncton, and Fredericton Homelessness: Up-to-date data on homelessness in the three cities.
Key Indicators: A select set of indicators from the 2021 Census was mapped according to local governments and rural districts across the province of New Brunswick.
211 Needs: 211 is a telephone and online service that directs people to social services. The data collected from those calls is mapped for different locations across the province, broken down by the types of concerns expressed in the calls.
211 Services: 211 is a telephone and online service that directs people to social services. The services in the New Brunswick 211 database are mapped according to service type.
Rental Wages: A rental wage calculates the minimum hourly amount people should earn to afford housing. It puts housing costs in terms of real hourly wages. The rental wages for different locations across the province have been mapped. For a full explanation of rental wages and NB rental wage data, see RESEARCH & REPORTS.
Labour: The Labour Dashboard analyses low-wage work and youth education and employment for the province of NB. The data sources are the Labour Force Survey and the 2021 Census.
